Global Warming
Global warming by definition is a gradual increase in the overall temperature of the earth’s atmosphere generally attributed to the greenhouse effect caused by increased levels of carbon dioxide, chlorofluorocarbons and other pollutants.
We live in the Troposphere. Next is the Stratosphere (where the ozone layer is). Then is Mesosphere and at the top is Thermosphere. Here’s how the layers work:--
The sun is above all the air layers. If there were no layers of air, the sun would burn our Earth. Having the sun burning directly would be bad for all living things so our ozone is basically the only reason we continue to live but humans are taking away our safety.
Humans are affecting global warming more than ever now. More cars in the city means more car exhaust, which is toxic to all life on earth. All the smoking people do adds to the pollution. Big factories release extremely toxic fumes directly into the air. Global warming is being greatly overlooked and it should stop.
Humans aren’t the only ones affected by global warming. Glaciers are melting. Glaciers are on mountain tops and not only is the melting of glaciers dangerous, it is taking away the homes of the animals like polar bears and seals. This can cause avalanches and other natural disasters.
There’s no turning back now. Though our ozone layer is disappearing, maybe we can do something to help. Try walking short distances instead of driving there and we not only save the lives of our future generations, but we are saving money in the process.
