Twilight
-no place at day is the same at night-
the moon rose i went out, i couldn’t stay away
but i was awake i needed to go to the garden
reading prose before the light of day
the stars were winking the water lapping
at me through the window i dove, greetingly
i was thinking the waves slapping
oh, the night was calling the light was queer
should i go out? as i gasped for breath
the scene was appalling someone was near
the trees were shifting twas my mother,
the leaves waving at me in a gown of red
their branches lifting
she said to me softly
“go to bed”
this is really beautiful i love your ways of words
